Our Therapeutic Approach

A4H follows a Jungian philosophy where we believe that our clients have the ability and strengths to heal, and the therapists have the expertise and the tools to guide the process. Our therapists  have over 35 years of experience working with individuals and families of all ages with all mental health and substance abuse conditions. Our approach to therapy is to include the entire family, especially when working with children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional and behavioral issues.

Our therapists utilize evidenced based treatments in the following:

  • Critical Incident Stress Management and Debriefing (CISM)

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

  • Addiction Therapy (e.g. alcohol, drugs, pornography, etc.)

  • We have 4 therapists that are trained in EMDR

  • 1 Therapist that is an EMDRIA approved consultant

  • Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) (with dogs and horses)
